*HOW TO MAKE A BACKGROUND OUT OF THE AV YOUR PAINTING*

First you will need to save the original image found below. colors/increase color depth/16 million colors.

Second, colors/colorize settings hue 20, saturation 45.
*sample below*

Next step will be to color to target her clothes, and lips.
shirt & bottoms color: #808080
color to target settings = size 7, hardness 0, opacity 50, step 35, density 100.
polka dot color: #6B0C0A
color to target settings = size 2, hardness 0, opacity 50, step 35, density 100.
lip color: #6B0C0A
color to target settings = size 2, hardness 0, opacity 20, step 35, density 100.
*sample below*

make a copy of your finished color to target av. go to effects/plug in filters/aetherize.
settings: *pictured below*

paste the aetherized av on top of the color to target one. go to your eraser tool and erase until you like the way it looks.
making sure to erase the color from the background.
eraser settings: size: 30, hardness 0, opacity 30, step 35, density 100.
*sample below*

Now for the background. take the av you just finished make a copy. using the copy go to effects/plugin filters/ vm
natural/ splash/ settings pictured below.

using the same image we're going to effects/plugin filters/xero/fritillary/ settings pictured below.

last step for the making of the background. take the same image to effects/plugin filters/vm natural/speed/ after you've
applied this last setting go to image/mirror. settings pictured below.

now we're going to put the images together. on top of the av we sat aside above, paste the finished background.
bring the opacity down to 50 so you can see the av underneath.
it will look like this. *sample below*

now we're going to erase the background off the top of the av. same eraser settings as above. after your finished erasing bring the opacity of the background layer back up to 100 and merge layers. *sample below*

now we will put some froo froo on the background. using your preset shapes tool set to rectangle, foreground color
white, background color white, draw a rectangle from the edge of her shoulder to the outside of the background.
convert to raster layer and bring the opacity down to 45. next using your line tool single line, width 1, line style
dotted, draw a line above the box you just made, then duplicate and pull a line beneath the box. still using your
line tool same settings, make a staight line down and two crossing it on the right hand side of the girl.
wala we have froo froo. you can look at the example below to see where the shapes are placed.

now we're almost finished, i didn't use alot of filters on the av itself because this tutorial was about making a
background from the av your painting. but we need to do some finishing touches. go to effects/plugin
filters/xero/clarity/ settings: clarity 128, fine tune 3, strength 50.
almost there! go to effects/plugin filters/ns softener/glossy accentuation/ settings radius 30,
opacity 50, overlay, enable luminosity. ok last step for the over all av.
using the retouch tool soften the skin of the girl.
settings: size 10, hardness 0,opacity 100, step 25, density 100.
*example below*

Last step font to your hearts desire. I used laine day size 36 for the cursive name, drop shadowed and
reduced the opacity to 50, then on top of that i used kartika size 12 drop shadowed 100 opacity.
the tiny font in the corner is silk screen reduced to 75 opacity.
i hope you enjoyed the tutorial. you can view the finished product below.

wala ! all finished!
