This tutorial was done using psp 7.04. Newer versions will need some modification.
*you can download the filters used in this tutorial below*
.XERO SET 2.
.ns softener.
.aetherize.
*Painting, Fonting, and Cutting A Mated Av*
First you will need to save the original images found below. colors/increase color depth/16 million colors.
After you have increased the colors, minimize the background image to bottom. we will be using the mated image first.
...
Using the mated av go to colors/colorize settings hue 20, saturation 45.
*sample below*

Your image should now look like this.
Now we will make a copy of the colorized av. using the copy, go to effects/plug in filters/flaming pear/aetherize.
settings are: Blur-42, Hues-65, Colorize-45, Haze-0, Dreaminess-5, Glue-Procedural+.
*sample below*

paste the aetherized av on top of the colorized orignal. go to your eraser tool and erase until you like the way it looks.
eraser settings: size: 30, hardness 0, opacity 30, step 35, density 100. don't forget to merge the layers.
*sample below*

Now to add some color. using your retouch tool (yes the little hand) in the drop down scroll down to color to target.
the settings for all of these colors will be the same. the only thing that will change are the colors i'll give those below.
Settings are: shape-round, size-5, hardness-0, opacity-50, step-35, density-100.
colors are: belt-#8C6352, belt buckle-#DECEC6, jeans-#A5ADAD, his shirt-#DECEC6, her shirt-#C6BDBD.
*sample below*

Now its time to add the background image. paste the background over your av and bring down the opacity to 20.
using your eraser tool same settings as above erase the background off of the couple in the av and bring the opacity
back up to 100 percent and merge the layers. it should look something like the sample below.
Now we're going to make the image POP a little, going to effects/xero/clarity. settings are:
clarity-128, fine tune-3, strength-50. sample of settings below.

Last step in the POP go to effects/virtual photographer. settings are: film #1, speed 25 asa, photogenic style on, warm
refer to image below.

Now go to your retouch tool scroll to soften, settings are: size-10, hardness-0, opacity-100, step-25, density-100.
soften the skin of your couple until you like the way it looks. my sample below.

Font and froo froo time! using your preset shapes tool, color: #DECEC6, draw a rectangle box on the left side of
the image, then go to layers, convert to raster layer, using your layer palette bring the opacity of the box you made
down to 35. then where it says normal beside your opacity change to luminance. duplicate and move the duplicate
layer to the right hand side of the image. Now using your line tool same color as above draw a straight line above
and below both of your boxes. line tool settings: single line, width-1, line style-straight, antialias and vector checked
sample of the settings below.
Go to layers/new raster layer then click on text tool. color-#DECEC6, font-Persimmon, size-48. type the word
forever (or whatever you like) and center it along the bottom of the image. then while the font is still activated go
to effects/3d effects/dropshadow. settings are: vert-1, hori-1, opacity-100, blur-1, color-black. once that is done
bring the opacity of that layer down to 30 and click luminance.
Now for the smaller font in the boxes you
made earlier. make a new raster layer, and click on your text tool. color-#808080, font-911 Porscha, size-8.
now type the fem name and center it in the left side box while its still active use the same drop shadow settings
as before and leave this one at 100 opacity. Now make another raster layer and do the same steps on the
right hand side for the male name. wala, your almost finished and your av should look something like this!

ok last step and then we're done! using your magnifing tool click on the image once this will make it bigger. then
select your crop tool. when you place the tool on the top left hand side of your image you'll notice numbers
along the bottom of your psp, these should read 0,0. click and drag the tool until the numbers on the bottom
read 102,116, once your there double click on the av and it will crop, now go to edit copy, edit paste as new
image. you'll have one half of your mated. set the new image aside, going back to the original image hit your
undo button, this should undo the first cut you made and the image should be 204x116 again. this second
cut is a little trickier finding the middle of your image the bottom of your psp should read 102,0. left click and
drag to the right end and bottom of your image. double click, once again it will crop. edit copy, edit paste as
new image. now all you have to do is close the original and save your two sides. wala!
